What I am learning

I went shopping today with my friends, and I really had a great time. We talked about our dreams and we encouraged each other.

I really think I love my friends much more than before. I Do care for my friends and love my friends. I am so happy when I hang out with my friends! They are so precious and important to me.

Before I became a christian, I loved my friends also but I was so self-centered. I was selfish. I met my friends when I was lonley, so I did not hang out with my friends a lot when I was a student. I had a boyfriend at that time, so I was happy because he was with me. I did not keep in touch with my middle school or high school friends. Isn't it so sad not to keep in touch with friends because they do not live close to me????

Anywayz, I was that kind of girl. However, God has changed me a lot!! I Do love my friends and I really want to keep in touch with my friends wherever they are! God helps me to love people.

I went to my friend's church this Sunday. It was my first time to visit there.

The pastor talked about fasting.

And when you fast, do not put on a sad face as the hypocrites do. They neglect their appearance so that everyone will see that they are fasting. I assure you, they have already been paid in full.

When you go without food, wash your face and comb your hair,
so that others cannot know that you are fasting-only your Father, who is unseen, will know. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you.

Matthew 6:16-18

The hypocrites fasted a lot at that time! They did it twice a week. (more than 100 times a year) However, their purpose of the fasting was not to gain God's approval but to gain people's approval. They neglected their appearance so that everyone will see that they are fasting. They just wanted people say that they were great.

Jesus did not tell His disciples to fast, but He did not also tell them NOT to fast.
He suggested them how to fast.
1. wash your hair and comb your hair.
2. The fasting should be a seacret! You will not be rewarded by people but your Father in heaven will reward you!

ummm, I see. People cannot understand what other people are thinking in their minds, but God knows about our hearts. Like... okay... I tried to focus on listening to the sermon this morning, but I did not sleep enough last night so I was sleepy. I was thinking something else during the sermon, like what am I going to do after the church? etc... He knows about me very well.

God knows about you very well also! He knows about your happiness, saddness, struggles, etc, even your hair is numbered!. He loves you so much!

How important FRIENDS are!!

I was really desperate for having a fellowship with my christian friends. I was stressed out.. yeah, I was pretty tired. I felt I was walking in a maze. I do not know how my future will be. Well nobody knows. No matter how hard we try to know about future, we will never know about it.

Here is the verses which say about it.

He has set the right time for everything. He has given us a desire to know the future, but never gives us the satisfaction of fully understanding what he does.

So I realized that all we can do is happy and do the best we can while we are still alive.

All of us should eat and drink and enjoy what we have worked for. It is God's gift.

Ecclesiastes4:11-13

I went to Tokyo to meet my friend tonight. It was really fun. I have not met her for a half year. I met her last summer on a mission trip. We only had a few hours to meet but we really had a great time. We prayed for each other before we said good-bye. While she was praying for me, God healed my heart and it was really pleasant.
